Happy Birthday Connor!!!

Today my baby turns 6. I cannot believe how fast time has gone by. It seems like yesterday he was the little baby in the picture above. I will ALWAYS remember those first six months with my first born because he was so fussy! He seemed to know right from birth what he wanted but we couldn't figure it out. After those first six months he became the sweetest little boy. He has such a big heart and I know he is going to make the best husband and father one day. This year I have marveled in watching Connor develop compassion, love for others, and MATH. The kid is a genius with numbers. While the other kids in his class are learning how to count to 70 he is already starting addition and subtraction. He loves to be quizzed on math and he is rarely wrong. We bought Connor a dog this year for Christmas and I have been surprised to see the love he has for this little animal. He feeds the dog, takes him outside to go to the bathroom, sleeps with the dog, and talks to him the way that a mother would talk to her baby. On Sunday we sang the song Called To Serve and in the middle of it Connor turned to me and said, "Mom, this is my favorite song. I love it" And I looked into his eyes and got teary because I realized that time is going so fast that before I know it, I will be singing that song at his farewell.
