This little boy is so dear to me. He has been the reason for many of my smiles but also the cause of many of my tears. But no matter the bad times, I wouldn't change anything because this little guy makes me smile everyday. I love the way he says, "mommy, mommy, mommy" I love that he is starting to understand when he does something that hurts or is too rough and will wrap his little arms around my neck and say, "sorry". I love that he shares my middle name and the name of my dad who has been such a good man and a hard worker his whole life. I hope Carter will grow up and honor the name of his grandfather. He is becoming such a chatterbox and tries to keep up with his older brothers. He loves his teachers at church and loves to point to his teacher and say, "Miss Tracy, Miss Tracy". He is the first one every morning and every night to sit down for family prayer. He folds his arms and will close his eyes for just a moment. I asked him, "Carter, did you see me when you were in heaven and picked me to be your mom" and he said as serious as could be, " No mom. Elmo" I guess he was hoping Elmo would be his mom. Carter LOVES his dog and becomes VERY upset if Dallas accidently gets locked in the laundry room. Carter will stand at the door and cry until Dallas is rescued. I have a very special picture that I took of Carter when I was out in Utah in August. I had the most amazing experience because while taking the picture I heard a voice clearly tell me that the little boy I was taking a picture of was going to be something VERY special one day. I pay the price for Carter with many, many tears but they are all worth it because he makes everyone around him so happy. When Carter was blessed, he was given the blessing to be a light unto others. He was also blessed to receive spiritual gifts and to use them to bless his family and brothers. Carter truly came from a dark situation but is the light to everyone that loves him.
