Today was spent cruising through the Provo Towne Center mall. Imagine my surprise when I ran into Edward Cullen in the FYE. He felt more like cardboard than cold, hard, stone but I held him close anyways. Just as he was trying to convince me to run away with him, I remembered that I was at the mall looking for anniversary gifts for my husband and had to refuse. Too bad Edward.
I wish I could say that we did something spectacular today, but.....we did nothing. The mall. That's all.
Oh, on another note, I had an experience today that I want to remember. I was waiting at the McDonalds in the mall with my children and a grown lady came up to the counter and started yelling at the teenage worker. "I WANTED A BIG MAC WITHOUT ONIONS!!!!" The poor girl was apologizing and was working quickly to fix the problem but the lady was out of control. She just wouldn't stop. I normally don't like to get involved but I had to. My kids were watching in terror as she acted like a 4 year old having a tantrum. I said politely, "Hey. Don't worry. You will get your Big Mac. It will be ok. Please, my kids are watching the way you are treating this worker and it is not a good example." She grabbed her sandwich and stormed off. I know that things don't always work out the way we would want them to but it is still important to treat others with respect. I felt ashamed for the lady and sorry for the young girl that had to bear her abusive words.

Oh, Shannon! That is hilarious. I'm picturing this loud, frantic lady as slightly larger and taller than you. And you walking up to her, shorter, smaller, calmer ... and politely telling this lady she is not being a good example. That's brave, some take it as a cue to let out a "lovely" string of words at you. Way to tell her off, politely of course.
PS Noticed you are in Utah. I'd like to see you, maybe next weekend. This weekend is full of family weddings and going-ons.
