Twilight!!!

I went to Twilight last night at 12:03!!! I went with a group of friends and we had a great time. Despite being some of the older women in the theater, we goofed off and acted like all the other teenie boppers. (oh, yes she did just say that)
Isn't Edward dreamy? I was disappointed at first with the actor they picked for Edward but he had his moments. (One of the girls commented after seeing his glittering skin that she was stopping for glitter for her husband on the way home. LOL) He must have some appeal because some of the girls behind us kept making raunchy comments about him. Sarah said she couldn't put on her blog what they were saying because it is a family blog. So, I guess I should follow in her footstep but I will just quote one thing that was repeated over and over again......No, I better not. It was pretty raunchy. It just had something to do with Edward and her pants...(use your imagination)

My review for the movie......It was good. I still prefer the book over the movie but it was ok. The only complaint I have is the facial expressions of some of the cast. WEIRD! In some of the serious scenes we were laughing because of the facial expression. And Jasper. Poor Jasper. They picked a character that made Edward Scissorhand faces all night. This picture does not accurately show the Scissorhand face but TRUST me. If you see the movie, you will agree with me. He looks like Edward Scissorhands.

I LOVED Emmett and have decided that he is better looking than Edward. That is my final decision. Would I recommend the movie? Hmmm, I would recommend the movie if you A. like love stories B. Do not expect to take the movie too seriously C. Want to see a movie that reminds you of your first teenage love (hopefully your first love was with a human and not a vampire) Do not expect to see a typical Hollywood film. There is very little violence, no sex, and minimal kissing. And no swearing. I predict this movie will get bad ratings because our society does not like it unless it has gore, filth, and smut. They will say it is a young teenage movie and I suppose it is but it is probably what this society should be watching. Not the HORRIBLE movie that previewed before it that made me scream two times out loud and finally cover my eyes.

The family picture. We tried. It just didn't work out. Someone is always looking away or eyes are closed. I refuse to go to a studio because it is so much work and the results are never what I want. I am issuing a challenge. For the brave photographer only! I challenge you to get a picture of the Borowski family where everyone is looking straight ahead and everyone has at least a semi smile. (NO closed eyes)

Ok, we just gave up at this point. We will just show you our true selves. Jaxson complaining, whining, true to form and Jade, Shannon, and Connor being silly.

Solve my Riddle

Some random thought that are going through my head right now........

My pants are getting smaller. Either that or I'm getting bigger. Hmmmm, the question remains, should I buy bigger pants or try to get my body smaller?? I think I will ask the all knowing Snickers bar..........his answer, buy more of me and buy bigger pants. (told you he was wise)

It's snowing. My clinical instructor just called me to ask if I thought clinical should be canceled tonight. Well, the snow is not sticking and it is not a white out.......My decision. Cancel clinical. It is much safer to stay at home than risk being caught up in this Jersey snow storm (which has already stopped falling) The clinical queen has ruled.

Connor just told me the following story. And I have to say he told this short, jumbled story in pure amazement.
"Mom, it is snowing. Will it snow forever? This big boy in my class had a nose bleed. And I looked mom and he didn't even pick it"
(Imagine that, getting a nose bleed without even picking your nose!!! Who would have thought?)

And for the final thought of the moment, a riddle (I'm a grumpy old troll, who lives under the bridge....ok, off track) for your enjoyment about my poor husband. This incident occurred over the weekend. The boys wanted to play Marioparty on the Wii Sunday afternoon. I was up all night with a stuffy head and a runny nose so I took some Tylenol cold. I woke up a little foggy headed and I remember taking the Star Wars game out of the Wii and placing the Marioparty inside the Wii. Well, nothing happened. It was like the Wii just ate the game up. Jade put another game inside and it came up. We could take it out, play it, do whatever we wanted with the new game but the Marioparty was lost somewhere inside the Wii. Poor Jade was distressed. He searched, he worked, he was sweating and fretting all night about this game stuck inside his precious Wii. He finally gave up all hope and we all retired to bed. The following morning I got both kids ready for school and after sending them out door, I retrieved the movie Pride and Prejudice to savor all by myself. I opened the DVD player and to amazement......I found.........MARIOPARTY! So, tell me what you think happened.

A. The Wii magically spit the Marioparty into the DVD player during the course of the midnight
B. Mario himself came out of the game and removed the Marioparty to a safer location...inside the DVD player
C. I was heavily sedated from the Tylenol Cold and put the game into the wrong spot.

I'm sure you will agree that option number A is the only logical explanation.

Although very distressed over the thoughts of losing his precious game, he was able to calm down once I told him the game was accounted for and safe. No Jade's were hurt during the creation of this riddle although a few nightmares may have been created for past sleeping experiences.

Jaxson's birthday photos

Random facts about me

When I don't have shoes on, I walk on my toes. A habit both kids have inherited.

I love to sleep because I love to dream

I possess a superpower. I have a bionic nose. I can smell anything and EVERYTHING. Not a good power to have in the nursing profession.

Sometimes I can't sleep at night because I'm thinking of home repairs I want to do.

I want to be a hospice nurse. I think the dying process is as spiritual as the birth of a baby.

I once owned a fake ID. I was my older sister Heather Brown.

I am a HUGE Dave Matthews Band fan.

I have made laxative cookies....more than once. They were not for me.

I dream about the sights and smells of Utah nearly every single night

I have a tattoo. A reminder of my rebellious youth.

I once went on an 8 hour mountain hike. We started at midnight and finished at 8 AM and I ran for a greater part of it.

At one point in my life, I would get up at 5 AM and go the gym every morning.

I use to run 3 miles a day.

I now consider my walk to Connor's bus stop the only physical activity I get during the day.

I drove one of my cars into a body of water.

I spent a majority of my childhood waking up to the musical talents of AC/DC, The Rolling Stones, and the Doors.

I got a severe burn on my foot in third grade from stepping on a hot motorcycle exhaust pipe.

I am deathly afraid of snakes.

If I could go back in time, I would be in Moab, Utah on an 89 degree day in 1999.

Nice, new lightening McQueen Cake+anxious three year old=DISASTER!!!!!

While waiting for the party guests we failed to watch Jaxson 24-7 and he attempted to get his own cake down from the shelf and carry it to the toy room. It landed upside down on the carpet. Lightening McQueen looks like he is driving on a broken road now. If it wasn't his birthday.......well, let's just say he is lucky. I may not be posting pictures of the birthday cake this year unless I can work some magic on it quickly.

Jaxson was a beautiful baby that rarely cried and just loved to be held. He was a perfect fit into our family.First Birthday. Jaxson loved Elmo.

Today is Jader's birthday!!!!!!!
One of the reason that I love Jade so much is because he is a kind and humble man who is my perfect balance.
Connor loves his daddy because he likes to play the Wii. He says, "Daddy sometimes plays with me" (He has magnified his role as a father in ways I didn't even imagine when I married him he would. He is constantly wrestling around on the floor with his little boys and knows just how to keep them happy. I have no doubt that these boys will grow up knowing always that they have a dad that loves them.) If you ask Connor who is best friend is he will tell you it is his daddy.
Jaxson loves his dad because, (in his own words) "Wii!!!!" "french fries"
Kayce loves Jade because he is the pesty older brother that she never had. He is constantly wrestling her to the ground and giving her noogies. We couldn't have a "sibling" picture done without Jade in the background making brotherly faces.
And while I always tease Jade that he loves money he really doesn't. He is just very concerned about being able to provide for his family. He is a humble man that doesn't care much about the riches of the world (unlike his wife) He is slow to anger (unlike his wife) and will back away from confrontation and be the first one to apologize to a neighbor that doesn't deserve it, just to be the better man. He cares very much for his family and I know that it really upsets him to be so far away from them. He is the typical laid back Canadian. Nothing seems to scare Jade (besides Pink elephant trains) and he meets life directly with a smile. We love Jade and hope he has a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
PS. Connor says that despite his father stealing all his Halloween candy, he still loves him. Connor is currently saving all his money to buy a fridge because he says he needs one to hide food from his dad. He complains that his dad eats all the good food before he can get any.

Halloween 2008

The Trick or Treating Bunch
No witch would be complete without her Joker by her side

Once upon a time there was a witch, Spiderman, and Batman.............
